Aggie joins them in the waiting room as Athelstan, Ragnar and Mags arrive.

She hugs each of the Few in turn, nodding to the others. “They’ve sent him in for an MRI straight away. He lost consciousness almost as soon as he was in the ambulance. They tell me that’s not unusual and not to worry.”

She crosses her arms, hugging herself a little, “But beyond that, they won’t tell me anything else. I’m not family.” She sounds just a little bitter about that. “I guess all we can do is wait.”

"We will," Dr. Fell says, nodding good-bye to the old man and turning back the way they came. "What happened?"

Athelstan offers to take one of the trays from Dr Fell, in the interests of fairness.

"She wouldn't said." Barrington answers, his long strides led back toward the hospital, his shoulders tight.

The others were all gathered, Aggie included, looking tense. She gives them a gentle nod and gestures them all to sit. Taking a coffee for herself, she breathes in the scent without tasting it.

Dr. Fell passes coffee around before sitting down.

"What's happened?" Athelstan asks, looking at Aggie and Mags.

Aggie takes another deep breath. “Sin’s resting now. They want to keep him in for observation over the weekend at least.”

Mags puts a hand out to steady her and Aggie nods gratefully before going on.

“His shoulder is a mess. They say there’s micro-tearing to the ligaments from where he dislocated it. It’ll heal but... he won’t be playing anything for at least four months. Maybe longer.”

“His composition?” Min-Jun bursts out.

Barrington puts a hand on her arm. “We’ll perform it for him.”

Aggie waves them into silence. “He hit his head pretty badly. They’re monitoring him for severe concussion.” She bites her lip. “Thing is, I think there’s something more, something worse. But they won’t tell me. I guess we just have to wait till he’s aware and see if he wants us to know.”

"I can perform his music if it helps," Dr. ´Fell says. "I play the harpsichord, the piano and the theremin."

"We'll just have to watch him very closely, to make sure he doesn't do anything he shouldn't be, too soon."

Aggie and Mags glance at each other in surprise. "We didn't know you were a musician. That may be very helpful, thank you."

Ollie nods to Ragnar. "You live with him, right? Any problem with us visiting and hanging out?" He's assuming it's some sort of group house arrangement.

"You're right, Athelstan." Mags agrees. "He's going to need watching, and support."

"My apartment is opposite his," Ragnar says. "I can keep an eye on him all the time, and let in his known friends so he can rest."

He smiles at them-

"Athelstan has all the right ideas."

He shrugs.

"I've done this before." And he leaves it at that.

Mags nods, "Well, there's nothing more we can do tonight. They won't let us in to see him till visiting hours tomorrow. I suggest everyone get some sleep and tomorrow we'll come up with a plan for looking after him once he's released."

She passes the bad Ragnar and Athelstan packed on to a nurse who offers to take it through.

Aggie offers Hannibal and Athelstan her hands. "Thank you both for coming tonight, and for being here for Sin. I suspect he's going to need all of us in the days to come."

"I'll be there whenever I can help, with music, coffee, food, whatever," Dr. Fell declares.

"And I'll be there anyway," Ragnar adds.

Athelstan nods.

"I'll make him move into my studio if that's what it takes."

Barrington nods gravely, gathering up the coffee cups. "I admit, the thought of moving him onto campus with us had crossed my mind. But if it comes to that, your studio might be a better fit. It is more private."

"You have the services of my thing with wheels for that," Ragnar promises.

"It'll have to wait until we get to see him. So I can talk him into it."

"My thoughts exactly." Aggie nods, giving Athelstan and Dr. Fell's hands another light squeeze. "Let's all get some sleep. The rest can wait."

Mags gives Ragnar and Athelstan quick hugs, offering Dr. Fell a handshake. He doesn't seem the hugging type. "Is everyone right to get home?" The Few will all pile in Barrington's BMW but it won't fit the rest of them.

"I can take the rest of them home in my, erm, car," Ragnar says, grinning.

"I don't think Dr Fell would appreciate it", Athelstan says dryly, turning to him. "But maybe you have your own transport?"

The Few make their farewells, leaving the newcomers to sort themselves out.

Although Barrington does makes a point of stacking all the cups so they can be easily carried on one tray.

Dr. Fell stacks the trays and puts that last one on top so he can easily return them.

"I think I'd quite like to try that alleged car," he says, smiling. "If you can drop me at the Palazzo Capponi, right on the bank of the Arno?"

"You haven't seen it yet. But as you like."

Athelstan holds out his hands for the tray.

"Thank you," the doctor says, handing it over quite carefully.

"You haven't seen my -- thing," Ragnar says.

Dr. Fell gives him a dubious look.

"That's what I just said."

He settles the tray in his arms, careful not to tilt it.
